To meet the varying needs of our parish families, Religious Education for Kindergarten through 6th Grade is being offered at two different times this year. We emphsize the importance of the Domestic Church and the continuing Faith Formation of the whole family, as well as your growth in our community of faith.
Three options are available to you this year. Please let us know which option is best for your family so that we will be able to plan accordingly.
Option 1
Wednesday night classes, 6pm-7:30pm, beginning with Mass in the church and ending in the classroom. Every grade will have class every week. (See class calendar below for dates.) Parent sessions will be available on select dates. (This is a similar model to what we used last year.)
Option 2
Sunday night classes, 6pm-7:30pm, one Sunday night a month (see dates on calendar below). Parents and children will both come, and each will have a classroom session (English and Spanish sessions will be available). The remaining three lessons for the month will be sent with the family to be completed at home and returned at the next session.
*Please note: A parent or guardian MUST accompany the child to the session. If this is not possible, the child will be required to attend Wednesday night classes.
**IMPORTANT: If you chose this option, you must attend every session. There are only 8 sessions for the entire year and the dates are set well in advance. If something unforseen happens and it is absolutely impossible to make the class, please see Cathi to work out an alternative.
Option 3
Combination of Option 1 & Option 2: The best of both worlds! Come to the parent and child sessions on the scheduled Sunday night to learn and grow in your faith and build up your domestic church, but also bring your child to the Wednesday night classes so they can be part of our church community, to learn and witness with their peers.
